There is a real art to negotiating and influencing others.
As clinicians you’ll need to use these skills throughout your day, whether that be with patients and their families, your peers, senior colleagues and other healthcare professionals. You will need to negotiate and manage situations that will have a significant outcome on you and your teams practice, performance and culture.
Developing an understanding of the tools and techniques involved in negotiating effectively will enable you to think differently about how you can adapt your influencing style to approach situations in an alternative way.
